Stylised Monologue

Nude Heels.

I am usually very impatient with clothes and shoes, I want to wear them the second they're mine, whether that means wearing them out of the shop or (pathetically) wearing them in the house as I am typing my play/ translation.
However, due to my love/hate relationship with nude heels and platforms ( I love that they make your legs look longer and they go so well with almost every dress you pair them with. They're the cool, go with the flow types. But then I fall out with them over their ever too frequent affiliation with black tights) I have had these platforms for EVER and hadn't worn them once until yesterday. There is something nice about keeping an item of clothing for a special occasion, I should make a resolution to do that more often (yeah... resolution to be broken in approximately 5 days when I will next have money)

heart shaped glasses

As you can see, I've been feeling unusually girly today. I'm not sure why, but I'm embracing it. Even though England is refusing to realise it, it's June and I am Greek and therefore I am going to pretend summer is the season we are currently experiencing (well, tights are an exception). Yes, so, In my mind, it's warm and this is what I am wearing on my way to the beach. After swimming for a good half hour (feeling especially athletic today haha!) I am going to drink something refreshing, eat my body weight in Greek salad and read magazines in the shade... yes, lovely! Now where's my winter coat?!

My housemate dared me to wear this AWESOME colourful ring that we bought together from a toy store. It jiggles and looks like little metallic balloons and I love it. Voila, Gasson!!

parents visit.

A quick post to show you my most recent uniform.
These are a few pictures taken by my dad when my parents were here.
I LOVE those faux leather leggings! They literally go with everything, it's strange. You can wear them  in uni, at work, on a walk, on a night out, or to get breakfast with your parents...

Have a great weekend everyone!!

No more flower gardens.

This is what I wore a couple of days ago when the weather was all nice and springy. It's amazing how London turns into a flower garden when it's sunny. All the women seem to be wearing floral dresses. it's lovely! I bought this dress on my last day of uni in 2008 so I thought it was fairly appropriate to wear it only days after the end of my MA classes this week.

Can't say I feel very floral or inspired at the moment, though. The weather is horrible (how British has this blog become? always talking about the weather haha! But it does influence what I am wearing, especially because it influences how I feel) but more than that, everything that is happening in Greece these last few days has very much kidnapped my good mood and has been keeping it in the concerned prison. Lets all hope things will get better...

I'm back!

Aaaand... BREATHE!!!
Showcase done, done, DONE. It was great and my characters were all extremely well behaved. I got some good feedback and most importantly, started breathing again. It's cool, I'm learning to readjust to it, never mind that is a primary and essential bodily function, I swear my body just forgot how to do it... especially during the actual showcase!!

As well as breathing, I can actually blog again too. YAY! And what good timing to do so, as I have someone I want to introduce you to. I found him hiding in a little vintage shop in Camden. He had travelled all the way from China. I picked him up, as a reward for actually surviving the last week. I couldn't be happier.

I love chinese patterns... They just transform outfits so easily and they look as stylish as they look effortless. This little jacket for example, it just substitutes what on a normal 'i have no time to even think about what to wear' day would be a cardigan or a leather jacket. Yet this, looks about a trillion times less boring!! (also those earrings are my mum's. She bought them when we were in Beijing, three years ago, and I have been trying - and failing- to steal them every single day ever since. They are currently packed with the rest of her jewellery that I am trying to steal and en route to Athens :( haha )

two of each species.

I almost felt like I should start finding two of each species and start growing a beard, yesterday! Ridiculous rain! So yeah that excuses my miserable face in the pictures haha! However, as inconvenient as it was to swim through London, I quite enjoyed wearing my hat. I wanted a floppy hat for ages, then bought one this winter and didn't wear it, ever! So yesterday was my floppy hat debut, I think we're going to be great friends!!

Desperately Seeking Shade.

I think my blog is a fair represantation of London's mental state. It is suffering from the trendiest of mental illnesses, it's bipolar*One day it's cold and rainy and all I want to wear is cosy clothes under my warmest coat and the other it's all sunglasses and t-shirts!  Today is a lovely, very warm and sunny day and a little less packed with chores. I even had time to capture my Madonna moment and share it with you. My favourite part of the outfit is my hairband which is really a pair of tights I decided to tie around my head as a joke. Somehow it worked out well.

The showcase is in LESS THAN A WEEK now. It's more nerve wrecking than exciting at the moment but at least when it's done it's done and I can resume my proper blogging routine.
